If you happen to be out near Seodaegu Train Station, 혜자뷔페 (Hyeja Buffet) is a great option for a family-friendly meal. This restaurant is conveniently located in the western part of Daegu, not far from the newly opened Seodaegu Station. The station, which opened on March 31, 2022, serves as a transportation hub for the western part of the city, making it an emerging area for dining and activities. Whether you’re traveling by KTX or SRT trains, or exploring this developing part of Daegu, Hyeja Buffet could be a convenient dining option.


Overview


Hyeja Buffet is the new venture of the owner who previously ran the popular "Michin Buffet" (미친뷔페) in Bonri-dong. It offers a wide variety of dishes at an affordable price, maintaining the high quality and value that made the previous restaurant famous.



Menu Highlights


Here's some of what you can expect to find at Hyeja Buffet:

  1. 비빔밥 (Bibimbap): A mixed rice bowl with vegetables, meat, and egg. It can be made vegetarian by omitting meat and egg, but be aware that the gochujang sauce contains gluten.
  2. 제육볶음 (Jeyuk-bokkeum): Stir-fried spicy pork. This dish contains meat (pork) and may contain gluten in the sauce.
  3. 닭 요리 (Chicken dishes): Various chicken preparations are available.
  4. 돈가스 (Donkatsu): Breaded pork cutlet. Contains meat (pork) and gluten.
  5. 계란말이 (Gyeran-mari): Korean rolled omelette. Contains egg.
  6. 각종 반찬 (Various side dishes): Assorted vegetable and meat-based side dishes. Some may be vegetarian-friendly.
  7. 국/찌개 (Soups and stews): Various Korean soups and stews. May contain meat or seafood.
